BEST. SUPRISE. EVER.
This modern-day fairytale starts over 10 years ago at Schalmont high school. Andrew was a senior on the football team and Sabrina was a sophomore on the cheerleading team. He spotted Sabrina a few times walking the school hallways but could never build up the courage to approach her. Sabrina’s brother, Michael had just graduated from high school so Andrew decided to pick his old football jersey number (#88) in hopes of Sabrina noticing him. The homecoming game was coming up and the cheerleaders had to make signs for the football players. The year prior, Sabrina had made the sign for her brother, so she wanted to keep that tradition going for good luck. She asked her coach which football player was wearing #88 now and her coach responded “Andrew Cote”. Sabrina hadn’t heard of the name before but still wanted to make his sign. A day later she received a message on Twitter that read, “Hey Sabrina, I heard you’re making my sign for homecoming 😉” Sabrina messaged him a photo of the sign she made and asked what he thought. He said it was the best sign he’s ever seen. A few days later, Sabrina was at her best friend Sarah’s house and they decided to invite another friend over. But when their friend arrived at the door, he had brought someone else with him. It was Andrew. Sabrina was so surprised and the girls bursted out laughing. Little did they know the two of them would be staying up the entire night talking about everything. While sharing endless laughs and bonding over Disney movies, they were having the best time together and didn’t realize how much time had passed. It was already 6:00am. The next day was homecoming and it was as if they’ve known each other their entire life. They were constantly texting, holding hands in the hallways, posting photos together on social media, and the rest is history. Now, over 10 years later, they’ve been together ever since, living in Manhattan with a husky named Kobe, and are happily engaged 🤍💍 …I guess dreams do come true!
Two of Sabrina's best friends, Baylen and Anthony were coming into the city for "a photoshoot for their handbag company IHWKIP". Sabrina scheduled a nail appointment that morning so they would be fresh for "the photoshoot", but as she was getting them done, the boys texted her saying the photographer cancelled last minute because "he tested positive for Covid". They "changed" the plans to brunch and shopping instead to enjoy the day together. They then tell Sabrina that their friend invited them to a private event at the Standard Hotel so they needed to go home and get ready. Andrew was laying in bed with Kobe at home comfortable as could be. Sabrina kissed him goodbye and he told them to have fun. Once they get to the 16th floor at the Standard Hotel, they get off of the elevator and head towards the room. Suddenly Sabrina starts to hear "What Dreams are made of" by Hilary Duff playing on the violin (this is the song that she's always wanted to walk down the isle to at her wedding). Her heart skips a beat and she freezes. "Wait, do you guys hear that?!?", she shouts to Baylen and Anthony. They both act as if they don't hear a sound. Sabrina then starts pacing the hallway back and forth trying to figure out where the music was coming from, still so confused as to what was going on. The boys open the door to room 1608 and standing behind the door, front and center, is Andrew surrounded by red roses, candles, and a long trail of rose petals. Sabrina was in pure shock! As she walks to him in disbelief, she then looks to her right and spots her friend Sarah. The closer she gets to him, the more emotions start pouring out. He grabs her hand and pulls her in close for a hug that she didn't want to end. He then drops down to one knee and pops the big question. Sabrina couldn't have said yes quicker. She then spots her friend Carlyn who she had originally thought was a photographer. And before she knew it, all of her closest friends were walking through the door! They all went into the next room which was filled with some of Sabrina's favorite foods (sushi, burgers, truffle fries, pizza, and alcohol). It was an unforgettable night filled with lots of dancing, singing, and laughter! They couldn't have felt surrounded by more love in one room! Sabrina and Andrew are so excited to celebrate this next chapter in their lives with all of you. See you at Oheka Castle!
