Sabrina and Jason met in 2008 at Rowan University through a club, Student University Programmers (SUP). For 3 years, they were just friends spending every moment not in class in the SUP office planning events or playing pass the pigs. Both had an interest in each other, but never pursued it. Jason graduated in May 2011 & all hope for a relationship was lost. That was until New Years 2012, when Sabrina accidentally tweeted "Happy Birthday, Loves" and Jason was quick to correct her - or just spark up a conversation - and wished her a Happy New Year. They stayed up late that night catching up and not a day has gone by that they haven't spoken. Living over an hour from each other, they started their relationship with Sunday drives seeing each other. Their first official date, at the Pop Shop in Collingswood, NJ. Sabrina remembers exactly what she wore down to the shoes, slipping on the ice, and an awkward exchange figuring out if she was going to have to pay (she didn't). Jason, in typical male fashion, just remembers going to the Pop Shop. Months went by and the dates became more frequent. On May 7, 2012, Jason (a Yankee fan) took Sabrina to a Mets/Phillies game & asked her to be his girlfriend, "for realsies". The two did “long distance" for a bit until Sabrina graduated and got a job at Rutgers in 2015. They moved in together and almost immediately adopted their dog, Rowan, an ode to their alma mater and where they met. On November 26, 2017, Jason and Sabrina spent a Sunday afternoon at the Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, NJ. Jason picked out a beautiful spot along the lake to get down on one knee and make it official. Eager to begin the next part of their lives, the two began wedding planning that night!
