Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes. You are welcomed to wear either western or eastern formal attire. For Pithi specifically - we request that you wear yellow or orange.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

The wedding is planned to consist of 3 events - The Pithi, The Ceremony and The Reception.

I am still not sure what to look for in terms of dress code on the websites for each event - What do you suggest?

Answer

These are just suggestions and we want our guests to wear whatever makes them feel the most comfortable and beautiful. Pithi - We request that you wear your best yellows and oranges. For Women - Look for kurta suits, ghararas, shararas or anarkalis. There will be henna stands for anyone who wants to get henna done, so please wear something that can be easily managed with henna on your hands! For Men - Consider a simple kurta either with or without the vest, a button down with slacks. ______________________________________________ Ceremony- Since this is a morning event, pastel colors are encouraged but not mandatory. For Women - Look for Sarees, Lehenga, anarkali, sharara or gharara. A floor length dress is also appropriate. For Men - Look for sherwani, embroidered Kurta or a suit. __________________________________________________ Reception: We encourage dark and jewel tones - not mandatory For women - look for Lehengas, Anarkalis and Sarees. Cocktail gowns and black tie dresses are also appropriate. For men - Look for a prince coat, sherwani or black tie attire.
