Local Love: Black Businesses to Explore

Our wedding weekend isn’t just about celebrating love—it’s about celebrating legacy. We invite you all to explore and uplift Black-owned businesses across Houston. Here's a couple places we'd think you will enjoy!

Pur Noire Urban Wineries

802 Milam Street, Houston, TX 77002

We took our beautiful engagement pictures here! Pur Noire is proudly Houston’s first Black-owned urban winery, born from a deep love of wine and a desire to make it more accessible and communal.

Trill Burgers

3607 South Shepherd Drive, Houston, TX 77098

Founded by Houston rap legend Bun B, Trill Burgers is more than just a burger joint—it’s a cultural phenomenon. We actually got to meet Bun outside of his restaurant the first time we visited. Real cool dude!

Urban Social

3917 Richmond Avenue, Houston, TX 77027

A stylish black owned lounge with a rooftop patio, hookah, and curated cocktails. It's always a vibe!

The Breakfast Klub

3711 Travis Street, Houston, TX 77002

A true Houston institution, The Breakfast Klub is where Southern hospitality meets soul food comfort. If you like chicken and waffles as much as we do, then you have to make the trip!

Houston Museum of African American Culture

4807 Caroline Street, Houston, TX 77004

The Houston Museum of African American Culture is a vibrant space dedicated to celebrating the richness and diversity of African American history, art, and culture. You'll leave with such a great appreciation for the immense talent we have in this city.

Bar 5015

5015 Almeda Rd, Houston, TX 77004

Bar 5015 keeps the Third Ward lit and legendary. With its spacious patio and a crowd that brings the vibes every time, it’s the go-to for good music, good drinks, and even better energy. Whether you're posted up for brunch or sliding through for a night out, this spot never misses. A true Houston staple - perfect for kicking back, turning up, or anything in between.

Aunt Bill's Soul Food Cafe

22603 Morton Ranch Road, Katy, TX 77449

If you enjoy food made from scratch and passed down family recipes this is the place to go! This restaurant went viral on TikTok thanks to food blogger Mr. Chimetime and hasn't slowed down since. Most importantly the staff is friendly and always made us feel right at home.

LetsDoThisHouston Bike Tours

3409 Emancipation, Houston, TX 77004

This vibrant, music-themed bike tour company is a great way to see the city from a unique perspective! Great way to get active and learn more about the city's culture. 10/10 would recommend if you have the time.
