Sable and Haley's story begins in July of 2017 at the Picture Show movie theater in Prescott, Arizona. If you ask Haley when they met, she would say, "It was my first day on the job when I met Sable at the hot dog machine. Sable was confident and made me laugh within the first few minutes of our conversation." However, if you were to ask Sable when they met, she would say, "Haley and her friend came into the movie theater to see a scary movie. I didn't ask her friend for her ID when selling her the movie ticket, but I asked Haley for hers so I could find out her name. I noticed her right when she walked into the lobby and had to know who she was. Little did I know I would be the one to help train her the next day on her very first day of work." Even though they both have a different starting point, they both knew they wanted to be in each other's lives. As the year went on, Haley and Sable looked forward to the days they got to work together. Their shifts always went faster, for the customers and for them, as they were clearly a great team. Their friendship grew, and they started to hang out outside of working hours. Eventually, flirting became the new norm, and feelings started to develop, but Haley's summer was coming to a close as she headed to GCU. When Haley moved away, the conversations continued and one thing led to another, and Sable was moving into GCU the following semester. When Sable and Haley both went home to Prescott for the summer, they spent nearly every day together. Haley even joined Sable for the first time on the annual Padilla-Greer trip and asked Sable to be her girlfriend. After that, time flew by as they continued to share many pivotal moments together: being RAs on campus, babysitting their siblings during the pandemic, attending each other's family vacations and events, moving in together after graduation, adopting the bestest boy also known as Bruno, becoming teachers within the same school district, and navigating early adulthood. After nearly six years of dating, Sable asked Haley to marry her in her Nana's backyard under the stars, with twinkling lights in the trees and candles illuminating the yard. It was the easiest "yes" she had ever said, and they can't wait to share their special day with all of their favorite people.
