Hi there, Sable here using too many words to share a story. Its a good one though! I moved to Seattle from North Carolina in 2015. It was something that I was sure Jesus wanted me to do. Immediately when I got here it felt like home more than anything or anywhere else ever had. I moved to be a part of The Leadership Experience... or The Intern Experience... or Churchome College. Whatever you call it, it was home. So many things made it home but the people played a huge role in that. I immediately made a group of friends who would change my life forever and Christian was one of those friends. We went through 2 years of (insert your version of interns here) as friends. Best friends. Our humor and love of all things hip hop helped us bond. He became one of the most trustworthy and dependable people in my life. His friendship felt like home. Over time our friendship developed into something deeper. We felt like Jesus wanted us to wait before dating. Like he wanted us to be all in where we were at... him in LA and me in Seattle for our last year of interns. I knew it was right but it was hard and I knew then I wanted to marry him. When he moved, it felt like a piece of home was missing. Finally, when the time was right, we started dating. That was just over a year ago. We’ve been through a lot in the last year. Some of it has been better than I could’ve dreamed of. Some of it has caught us off guard and been unimaginably hard. And it’s only been a year. We have so much to learn and we will grow in so many ways. But if there’s one thing I have learned in the last year its that Christian’s love for me is a lot like Jesus’, its safe and consistent and full of grace and faithfulness. And more than anything, its home. We can’t wait to celebrate our love with all of you on our big day. So many of you have played a special role in our lives for years and have helped us become who we are and our wedding wouldn’t be the same without you!
