I (Alyssa) had been living in Baltimore for just over a year at this point. A friend of mine asked me to join his softball team. I happily agreed. I went to the games without knowing anyone else on the team. Prashant & I quickly became friends and realized we lived just a couple of streets apart. Prashant would often offer to give me a ride home after the softball games. One night during the summer, Prashant met up with my girlfriends and I while we were out for drinks. I think this was the first night Prashant & I started to realize how much we enjoyed spending time together. The next night Prashant asked me to grab a drink with him at Max's Taphouse in Fells Point. We spent the whole night talking and laughing - the connection was undeniable. It was our first informal date and we've been inseparable ever since. The mutual friend who started the softball team is none other than co-best man Rishi Jain. The friend I was out with the night Prashant met up is maid of honor, Stacy Ruddy. Friendships are an integral part of our lives and our love story. Prashant & I pride ourselves on being friends first and a couple second.
