After the class ended, she was walking back to her dorm, and he came up and introduced himself, saying her voice was nice and interrupted the otherwise monotone lecture. They started chatting on and off, and after a couple of debates regarding important subjects like Lord of the Rings and midterms, they knew something special was there between them. The rest, as they say, is history. Through many days and nights filled with laughter, mundane arguments, the challenges of medical school, innumerable bowls of ramen, and millions of cups of coffee later, they found themselves still in love and ready to try this thing called marriage. So in August 2021, they decided to get married during COVID in a small zoom wedding at court and attempt residency together! Zooooming ahead…many trips, coffees, and ice creams later, they are both in their final year of residency - Shachi in Springfield, IL doing Pediatrics and Saar in Ocala, FL doing Internal Medicine. As they approach the first time in their lives where they can have a REAL job and practice medicine alone (well, maybe not Shachi as she’s decided to do more training and be a fellow in neonatology….), they finally made time to get married-married almost 4 years later with all their friends and family! So come join them as they prepare to embark on the greatest adventure of all — a big fat south asian wedding! ANNND meet their fur baby, Godzilla, the new jungle cat king of Ajax?!
