Kelsey's Perspective We met on the fabulous dating app Tinder. We both matched with each other and started chatting instantly. Right away we hit it off with a lot of things in common. Adam tried and tried to take me on a date, but I was not great at going on dates. He finally said to me " why don't we meet up and you can bring some friends." I took this as okay, I will throw a party and you can come and thats exactly what I did. Our first date was at our family barn with some of friends and my siblings. The first thing I remember when I saw Adam was I was not being cat fished. The night went on with many laughs, great first memories and a bad hangover. After that night the connection grew and we quickly new that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives together.
Kelsey and I met on the dating app Tinder. I was skeptical of the whole online dating thing at first, but since we were going through a pandemic, it was hard to meet people any other way. I believe I liked her profile first, then she liked mine back. Kelsey will say it was the other way around. After the first night of messaging she gave me her number. We talked almost everyday after that. As the days went by I remember thinking I can't wait to meet her. I asked her out a few times but she was always “busy”. I kept trying to think of ways to convince her that I was not just some creep on the internet. Finally, I came up with the idea that she could bring a friend or two and we could just meet for a drink or something super casual. Finally she said yes! I was excited and a little nervous. She invited me out to her family's barn and said there would be a couple of her friends there. I thought this would be perfect. When I pulled in I was expecting a car or two but there was 10 cars in the driveway. I thought O boy! I think there’s more than a friend or two here. Then I was even more nervous than before. I opened the barn door to about 15 or 20 people standing inside, as they wondered who I was, of course I struggled getting the giant sliding door shut. Now not only do I feel like an idiot but I'm embarrassed and even more nervous. Luckily she has some very nice friends and family and that accepted me right away. The hours flew by and Kelsey and I had some great conversation and a few drinks together. The morning after I remember having a headache and driving home with this feeling that I had never had before. It took me a while to figure out what that feeling was, but I finally did. That feeling was that I missed her already and hated leaving her. Now I never have to worry about having that feeling again.
Kelsey's Perspective Adam and I were in Florida for Christmas. I went early to spend more time with my family and Adam was flying in on Christmas. After our Christmas dinner and a few drinks we went back to our hotel and that is when Adam asked me to marry him. I remember him telling me to look at him because I could not stop crying. We then went out and celebrated at the hotel bar. It was everything I wanted, since I knew it was coming and im not good with surprises. (haha, shocking) Adam's Perspective The proposal happened Christmas day. I flew down to Florida that morning after spending Christmas eve with my family. My parents were excited for us and I was excited too. Kelsey had been in Florida for a week already and I couldn't wait to see her. We first went to dinner with her family and then went back to our hotel. Kelsey not being the most patient person and me not wanting to lose the ring I decided to keep the proposal private and do it as soon as we were alone. I remember her balling her eyes out as I asked. Of course she said yes! She then called all her friends and family, while still crying tears of joy. We went down to the hotel bar after to celebrate with a few cocktails.
