Matt, the manager of the store that I worked at just happened to be James' best friend. James had always joked with him that he should hook the two of us up and he never did. James made the joke with Matt's girlfriend and she made it her mission to get the two of us together. She asked if she could give him my phone number and, well, I said yes. As they say, the rest is history.

On the third anniversary of our first date, James and I headed to the Oregon Coast to spend some time at the North Head Lighthouse. We walked around and talked, took some pictures, all while he told me that the gift he had gotten for me was a custom order and that he was sorry that it had not arrived in time for him to give me on our day. We continued to walk around the lighthouse and talk when he got on one knee! I, of course, said YES to him!
