Discover paradise on Catalina Island, where endless crystal-clear waters and dramatic vistas surround you. With its Mediterranean climate and plenty of activities to enjoy, Catalina Island can be enjoyed for the day or an overnight stay. Fast boats make the trip in about an hour and operate every day, year-round from three mainland ports - Long Beach, Newport Beach, and Dana Point. You can take the Catalina Flyer - https://www.catalinainfo.com/ or you can take the Catalina Express - https://catalinaexpress.com/port-dana-point/dana-point-port.html Main port they dock at is in Avalon. Leaving the hustle and bustle of the “mainland”, Avalon is the perfect place to take a break from the demands of daily life. Avalon is the main destination for visitors to the island. On Avalon, check out Descanso Beach Club and get their Buffalo Milk! It is our favorite!
This is home to dining, shopping and entertainment! There are many different retail stores, places to eat, as well as a ferris wheel, movie theatre and Improv Comedy. Ryan and I worked at the Cheesecake Factory at this location.
Downtown Disney is a fun place to visit while in town. If Disneyland/California Adventure Park isn't open at the time of the wedding, this is still an area to grab some bites. Downtown Disney has also extended into California Adventure Park as of 10/2020. Try out Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen and Carthay Circle! Two of our favorites.
"Happiest Place on Earth" We hope the park will open by the time of our wedding but will just need to wait and see.
$14 admission
Another one of our favorites restaurants for a date night out. They have excellent lunch and dinner choices.
We love coming here for date nights. They have locations in Laguna Beach and San Clemente. Try their Cioppino!
Their seafood enchiladas and margaritas are delicious! Laguna Beach and San Clemente locations.
One of our favorite local pizza joints. Great pizza and great beer!
A nice local brewery to grab a cold one!
We love coming here to grab a coffee and strolling through the Los Rios Historic District on our Saturday or Sunday mornings.
