Jane Li

Bridesmaid

Jane is my best friend from university, along with Ashley. The three of us met amazingly by chance during McGill Frosh and orientation. We were inseparable as classmates, roommates, and friends. Together, we made unforgettable memories: making the trek between Upper Rez and New Rez, sharing November birthdays, cleaning up never-ending recyclables, and disinfecting food containers with questionable growth. We were the original Li-Long duo (sorry Ryan) as coined by the New Rez security officer! Now almost 10 years later, we share that same close bond not only as friends but also as fellow nurses! I am so grateful to have both Jane and Ashley in my life every day and on this special day.

Patrick Chiu

Groomsman

We've known each other since we were 3-4 years old. Similar to my relationship with Sharon, a significant part of this friendship has been spent via long-distance. We spent a lot of after-school hours together growing up. It made all those mandatory extra-curricular activities more bearable. Patrick is basically family and I always look forward to re-living our childhood of eating a ton, playing video games, and watching anime (but as adults) when visiting home.

Ashley See

Bridesmaid

Ashley is my college friend from McGill University, along with Jane. We all met during orientation and never separated since, well… until we all moved to different cities. We were silly college kids back then; enduring the cold, steep, “high fall risk” slopes of upper rez to hang out at each other’s dorms and the many nights of poutine and Boustan’s shawarma. Of course, Ashley will be most fondly remembered for ordering 800 pieces of sushi at a sushi buffet and being the first to always pass out from sleep! Even though we are miles apart, “JAS” (aka Jane, Ashley, Sharon) was never far from a skype call or plane ride away. As I am approaching this special day, I am so glad I have them next to me, and I cannot wait to celebrate more milestones with them.

Daniel Daklala

Groomsman

Dan was my desk neighbor, in the 4th grade, and one of my first friends entering a new school. My favourite childhood memories include hanging out at his Grandparents house and eating his Grandma's cookies ^^. He was a great travel companion trecking across Europe, trans-Siberia, and through Asia. Dan's been a true life partner (in addition to Sharon) and I look forward to all of our future adventures together!

Yisheng Cao

Officiant

Yisheng was there at the beginning from the first time we met, to when we started dating, doing long distance, and up to this moment where we celebrate our lifelong commitment to each other. He's been (and still is) part of a lot of our favourite memories and we are so grateful to have such an amazing friend publicly formalize our marriage.

For all the days along the way
