“I have known Rylie for almost my entire nursing career! I had the pleasure of working with her at Swedish Medical Center (with the old peeps) and Children’s Colorado where we ended up on the same unit (with the little humans)! Rylie and I were both always getting ourselves overly involved, which meant we spent a lot of time together. I’m so thankful that our work friendship overlapped into becoming such great friends in the real world. One of my favorite memories with Rylie (and Jason) was when they invited me to an Avalanche watch party. I think it can go without saying that Rylie and Jason are HUGE Av’s fans, but I was the one who ended up winning a sweatshirt in the raffle that day! It also can go without saying that they are both too genuinely nice that they wouldn’t let me give it to one of them - now I think of them every time I wear it!”

“ Jason and I go way back. So far back I know the origin of that scar on his forehead which is a reminder of his loyalty and golden heart. When I was the victim of birthday punches from two of the biggest sixth graders at rippowam middle school, Jason saved me. The bullies had me pinned on the ground. I remember making eye contact with jason and screaming help me. Jason attacked the two kids and got them off me but in the aftermath when they retaliated, jason used his big head a little too aggressively and collided with the bullies teeth. Jason left school in an ambulance as his head was cut open but still came back to school that day with stitches. Toughest kid I know !”

“There are so many memories to name one that sticks out would be nearly impossible. I could talk about flushing smoke down a toilet, Kal yelling at the bus driver to give us two toots after a win or heading into Boston for whatever reason we had that day. What I will always remember and cherish is waking up on Saturday mornings in Mod2/Beacon/Bennett St. Going to ‘What’s Brewin’ to grab some breakfast sandwiches and heading right to One Stop to grab our Saturday haul. Going back to wherever we were living and blasting music and cracking our first beers. Saturdays look a lot different now but those Saturdays will always have a special place in our friendship.”

"My favorite memory was one specific beach day when it was so cold and we were the only two people there the whole day. The two of us took a bottle to the beach and drank the whole thing. That was so f***ng fun and funny. Legit just the two of us hanging out. Got me reminiscing now, late nights in the mods just shooting the breeze and laughing."

“It’s hard to pick one favorite memory with Kal, but doing so makes me smile thinking back at all the good times we had together. Living at Bennett with Kal in general was one of the best years and being part of his everyday shenanigans. Thinking back about playing beer dye in the yard, riding around in the hotbox with a couple bucks of gas in it at a time, dominating the intramural softball league and sneaking him into the callahan. No one has moves on the dancefloor like Kal dancing around an empty bottle, and I can’t wait to see it on his wedding night. Kal is a friend that’s always ready for a good time and will always have your back and be there when you need him.”
