We ask for you to wear cocktail attire such as a suit and tie for the men and midi or cocktail length dress for the ladies.

Are kids welcome?

We love your kids, but due to space and venue restrictions we are unable to accommodate children at our wedding. We appreciate your understanding.
Question
Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?
Answer
We will be providing transportation to the venue from the Hyatt Place Charlottesville and the English Inn of Charlottesville. The shuttle will be leaving the hotels at 3:50 pm. If you plan on taking the shuttle, please notate that on your RSVP so we can ensure you have a seat reserved.

Can I use Uber or Lyft to get to and from the wedding?
Answer
Due to the remoteness of the wedding location, we strongly discourage attempting to use these services to get to the wedding. Cell phone service is unreliable, and the venue has not had success getting drivers to pick up at Mount Ida. We are providing transportation from the Hyatt Place Charlottesville and the English Inn of Charlottesville so everyone can safely enjoy themselves at our wedding without the stress of driving. If you plan on utilizing the provided shuttle, please let us know on your RSVP so we can be sure to save you a seat.

If driving, how do I get to Mount Ida?
Answer
The Event Barn at Mount Ida Farm is thirty minutes from Charlottesville. From I-64, take exit 121 Scottsville/Charlottesville, left towards Scottsville on to Route 20 South. Travel approximately 16 miles then take a left on James River Road (Route 726). At the stop sign, take a left on Blenheim Road. In about three miles, the sign and entrance for Mount Ida Farm and Vineyard will be on your right. Once you enter the gates, take an immediate left and follow the road to towards the Event Barn. You will continue down the drive, passing the Event Barn on your left, and go through the vineyard. The Gazebo and lake will be on your right. You can park in the grassy area on the right, there will be signage and parking attendants to show you where to go.
