Just a couple of youngins in our early 20s working hard for barely any money at the towns local pizzeria, Tobins. A cute girl answering phones and taking orders and a tall handsome man in and out delivering pizzas all night. Some, (Vincent), might say it was love at first sight. We went on to flirt every time we were working the same shift until Vince finally asked me out on a date. We went to Red lobster, which we have now been to many times since because it's Vince's favorite. Fast forward to July 4, 2013. It was so hot. One of the hottest 4th of July's we've ever experienced. Vince asked me to be his girlfriend on this day and we've been together ever since. 10 years, many up and many downs, some of life's happiest moments, and some of the absolute worst. 2 apartments, one house, 2 kids, 2 dogs, a cat, so many loses, and so many gains. And, although it seems like we've been married for years, we can't wait to finally make it official!
Vince and I planned a weekend trip to St. Louis, Mo for Valentines day. That whole week it was an odd 70 degrees. Come Saturday on our way down, there was freak snow storm, a bad one. We had plans to go to Grants Farm for a romantic dinner for two, and a horse drawn carriage ride. We drove 3 hours in an awful snow storm and found out our plans at Grants Farm had been canceled. We were so sad. Everything we tried to do that weekend was closed because of the snow storm. Sunday we were planning on leaving to go home and we decided to stop by the farris wheel at Union Station where we were staying. At the very top, in cart number 2, Vince pulled out the ring box and asked me to marry him. The easiest yes of my life! I later found out that he was going to propose on the horse drawn carriage ride (omg!) but had to switch plans because of everything being closed or canceled. It wouldn't have mattered to me where he did it, I would have said yes every time and any where. Here's to forever!
