What are the nearest airports?
Answer
The closest commercial airport is Coastal Carolina Regional (EWN) in New Bern — just about 45 minutes away. Other nearby options include Albert J. Ellis Airport (OAJ) in Richlands (~1 hour), and Wilmington International Airport (ILM) (~1.5–2 hours). If you’re flying from farther away, Raleigh-Durham International (RDU) offers the most flight options, with a scenic 2 hour and 45 minute drive to the coast.

How early should we secure accommodation?
Answer
We recommend booking your stay as early as possible! The Morehead City area is small and charming, and October is one of the most beautiful—and busiest—times to visit. With perfect weather and several local festivals happening that month, hotels and rentals tend to book up quickly. We suggest securing your accommodations well in advance to ensure the best options nearby.

Does it matter where I stay?
Answer
Not at all! There are so many wonderful places to stay in the area — you really can’t go wrong. Whether you choose the charm of Beaufort, the convenience of Morehead City, the coastal vibes of Atlantic Beach, or the laid-back beauty of Emerald Isle, you’ll be close to the action and surrounded by gorgeous scenery. Pick the spot that suits your style — beachy, historic, or somewhere in between! The hotel block is considered the most convenient place, it is only 2 minutes from the Church and 8 minutes from the Country Club.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
Answer
The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00 PM, but we kindly ask guests to arrive between 4:30 and 4:50 PM to allow time to park, find your seat, and settle in. We’d love for everyone to be comfortably seated before the celebration begins!

Are kids/plus-ones welcome?
Answer
We truly wish we could celebrate with everyone and say the more the merrier! But, to keep things intimate, we can only accommodate those listed on your formal invitation. Thank you for understanding — we can’t wait to celebrate with you (and promise it will be worth the wait)!

What should we expect at the Welcome Party?
Answer
We’d love for you to join us the night before the wedding! Light appetizers will be provided, and there will be a full bar available where guests can purchase drinks. It will be a relaxed evening to mix, mingle, and kick off the celebration together!

Why did we choose to get married in NC?
Answer
Rylee has been vacationing in this area since she was just 5 years old, and it quickly became a second home for her family. Over the years, they built lifelong friendships that made the place even more special. This past year, we attended a wedding here for two amazing people who had become like family to Rylee during that time. Bringing Braeden to the area was just as meaningful—he loved exploring the Beaufort waterfront and riding bikes everywhere. That wedding was absolutely perfect, and it felt like the kind of celebration we’ve always imagined for our own special day.

When do we need to RSVP for wedding?
Answer
Formal invitations will be sent out in June 2026. Since this will be a bit of a destination wedding for many of our guests, we know that travel takes planning. To help us prepare, we kindly ask that all RSVPs be submitted by August 1st, 2026. If you already know you won’t be able to attend, letting us know sooner by RSVPing “no” would be greatly appreciated.
