Bailey was working outside the home office my mom worked at. I pulled up while he was working outside and I didn't want to get out of my car because to me he was a big scary man. My mom came to sit in my car and she said "Do you see that guy over there? He's so cute! You should go out with him!" I ignored her until she came home that night and told me she showed him my pictures on Facebook and told him he should ask me on a date. I was mortified, so I messaged Bailey on Instagram for some damage control, and we never stopped taking.
We went to the Clock for a cheeseburger before going to see one of the Purge movies. I pretend to be scared so I could hold his hand.
For our 3rd anniversary, I asked Bailey if we could have our pictures made. He agreed and set the whole thing up. I had hopes he would propose, but he took several measures to throw me off. He planned to pop the question on Blowing Rock in NC, but it was very rainy that day. So instead we drove 20 minutes on the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway to Grandfather Mountain to finish our photography session, only to find the state park closed. Just as we were about to give up, the photographer found a beautiful spot right off the parkway. The sun came out and shined right on the rock. When I turned around for a different pose, Bailey was on one knee.
