A few years ago, Ryker’s softball team won a tournament and their championship photo was posted on Facebook. Also being part of the Utah softball community, Katie came across this photo, zoomed in on Ryker, took a screenshot and sent it to her friend Bailey asking “Who is this guy?”. Bailey responded “His name is Ryker! He is young but he’s great to be around!”. Katie did a little digging but ultimately decided not to reach out or pursue anything. A couple months later, Bailey invited both Ryker and Katie to her birthday party. After bumping into each other a few times throughout the party, they sparked up a conversation. Ryker pulled two dining room chairs side by side and said “Have a seat, let’s talk”. They bonded over softball, love for their families and spoke a little Portuguese too. Since then, they have been inseparable, with their favorite thing being quality time together. Katie and Ryker prioritize saying yes to one another. Ryker says yes when Katie makes plans 6 months in advance, and Katie is working on saying yes when those plans change the night before. No matter where they are or what they are doing, if they are together, they are happy. Ryker and Katie feel so blessed to be in love and celebrate their commitment to one another. They greatly appreciate the support and guidance you have provided for them individually and together.
