If you have any questions beyond what is listed, please text the bride or groom!
Question

What should I bring?

Answer

To make your cottage weekend most comfortable, we recommend bringing comfortable clothes, a bathing suit, outdoor towels, a book (or three -- you know who you are), comfortable shoes, food (fridge, stovetop, and BBQ available in all cabins), drinks, and whatever else you'd bring to a cozy cottage weekend with your friends & family! Prunella provides access to their water equipment, wifi, a projector, wood for the indoor wood stove & fire pits, bathrobes and linens, and a few other nice touches.

Question

How do I book the chalet?

Answer

Simple - through us! Please send your deposit to courtneyryckman89@gmail.com or brobertson133@gmail.com. The remaining total of the cabins will be due via e-transfer July 1st, 2026. Our guests will not require an additional security credit card hold. We will contact you directly to make you aware of the costs, if we've not already.

Question

Where can I buy food/supplies?

Answer

Because it’s such a remote area, we recommend buying food at a larger city on your way in (Ottawa, Gatineau, North Bay). Gatineau is about an hour outside of Ladysmith. There are no nearby fast food options, so please ensure you bring enough food and snacks to keep you satisfied! All cabins have stovetops and BBQs, and the larger cabins have ovens. We recommend getting gas in Ontario as it seemed to be more expensive in Quebec. Please refer to Prunella's Guestbook for full details about the area & cabins: https://tinyurl.com/5x2cy8cu

Question

Will the entire weekend be vegan?

Answer

While we would encourage everyone to enjoy plant-based dining, we are not the type of people to dictate what you enjoy on your weekend. The food and drink we provide will all be vegan, and we look forward to sharing plant-based pizzas and catered food with you at the reception!
