Same Couple, Same Place, New Date!

Their story starts as most great (modern) love stories do... on the dating app Bumble. Kevin was in the process of moving to New York City and looking “for a tour guide and someone to help decorate his apartment.” Lauren kindly volunteered and took Kevin to a fun speakeasy in Soho on June 29, 2016. The two had a fantastic first date spent talking food (of course), Jordy Nelson, summer party playlists, and ideas for future adventures. Weeks later, after several more wonderful dates, it was clear that this was more than either of them ever expected. One afternoon in late Fall as the two were parting, Lauren blurted out “ok, bye, love you” then swore, turned bright red, awkwardly mumbled an apology, and ran out the door. Real “I love yous” weren’t too far behind. On March 22, 2019 while in Chicago for “Jack’s birthday”, Kevin proposed to Lauren on a rooftop overlooking the city. This was followed by a trolley filled with friends and family from across the country that took the group to Will’s Northwoods Inn (go Badgers!), cocktails back at Hotel Robey, and, of course, a late night dance party at Lottie’s.
