Giving online dating a shot, Nick and Lydia matched on Hinge and the rest was history! After bonding over their shared nerdiness for anime and video gaming, Nick had asked Lydia to join him for their first date at his friend's Christmas party in San Francisco, being that it was the holiday season. Still only a week into talking Lydia was worried of what kind of party in the city she would be walking into...but Nick quickly assured her it was a wholesome group of friends! She then asked if they could meet each other, just them two, in person for the first time at dinner before walking into the party. They had agreed to meet for dinner that night, as Lydia walked over to the restaurant she saw Nick sitting there by the window. Nick saw Lydia through the glass as they made eye contact, Nick's heart stopped. He gazed at the most beautiful girl he had ever seen and thought to himself...don't mess this up. They never had a dull moment after that, everything felt so natural and were so drawn to each other. However, Lydia now needed to also meet a party full of Nick's friends but even with that, Nick was always such a gentleman and never left her side and that night was full of laughs, smiles and as silly as it seems to say 'love at first sight', there was definitely something very similar, with many many sparks. Their second date was at Nick's company holiday party where Lydia quickly met all of his coworkers! But yet again, Nick made Lydia feel like he would never leave her side being there to introduce her and party together! It felt like another movie-like date where they were dressed up in a suit and gown and Nick had made Lydia feel like she had met her prince charming. Now Christmas eve, Lydia was on her third date with Nick and he oh so casually invited her to stop by his parents house! The nerves were on, especially meeting the family for the first time! Even still, everyone was so welcoming and Nick made her feel so comfortable. It's a pretty bold move, but Nick had already known in his heart she was the one for him. He couldn't have been more excited to show off his future wife.
