We like to say we met the old-fashioned way - through online dating. Our first date was June 10, 2019, at Big Star in Wicker Park. It was a beautiful sunny day and we got to know each other over tacos and margaritas. Things progressed quickly and by the end of the month, Ryan was going to White Sox (!!!) games and buying platters of bud light for Kelly and her siblings and cousins. Since 2019 we have continued to grow, both individually and as a couple. We've moved in together, bought a condo, and adopted our sweet pup, Winston. We've celebrated graduations and new jobs for both of us. We've traveled to 13 states and 3 countries together. We attended 20 weddings together and have decided that now, it's our turn. In late April 2022, Ryan went to Nice, France for work and I was able to tag along. On April 29th, after work, Ryan met up with me and we took a walk through a beautiful park overlooking the city and port. We stopped to sit on a bench in a secluded part of the park when Ryan turned to me and told me he brought me something from the airport. My first response was: "Is it a sandwich?". While I still am hoping to someday try the sandwich from the Nice airport that Ryan kept raving about, what he gave me was so much better - a ring!
