Question

What Should I Pack?

Answer

Colorado weather loves to keep us guessing — we’ve seen 70°F sunshine followed by a full blizzard the very next day! All wedding events will be held indoors, but it’s still a good idea to pack layers so you’re ready for anything. Pack warm options. Evenings can be chilly, especially in February. A nice coat, wrap, or jacket will come in handy when walking between venues or enjoying the mountain air. Rehearsal Dinner Attire: The rehearsal dinner will be held at License No. 1, a historic speakeasy inside Hotel Boulderado. Think of what you’d wear for a fun night out — cocktail attire is perfect, but feel free to lean into your personal style. Wedding Attire: The wedding will be formal — we’d love to see suits, jumpsuits, and long dresses, your dress does not need to be floor length. Tuxedo are not necessary. Bonus points if you want to join in the Colorado spirit and wear earthy tones like green or brown, or a touch of Western flair, bonus points for a bolo tie counts as black-tie in our book!

Question

What Does it mean to party at altitude?

Answer

Boulder sits at about 5,400 feet above sea level, which means there’s less oxygen in the air — and that can make things feel a little different than sea level! ✨ Alcohol hits harder. One drink here can feel like two, so pace yourself and enjoy slowly. Trust us — the mountain air is intoxicating enough on its own! ✨ Hydration is key. Bring and use that water bottle you packed! Drinking plenty of water before and during the festivities will help prevent headaches and fatigue. ✨ Take it easy when you arrive. Give your body a day to adjust, especially if you’re flying in. You might feel a bit winded on stairs or during dancing at first — totally normal! We promise, once you settle in, you’ll love the crisp mountain air, cozy vibes, and the extra excuse to savor every moment (and every drink).

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If you have a plus one, it will be indicated on your invitation and reflected in your RSVP options. We wish we could invite everyone, but we’re keeping the guest list intimate. If your invitation includes a plus one, please be sure to RSVP for both of you so we can plan accordingly.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We’re so excited to celebrate with all of you! Our wedding weekend will be mostly an adults-only event so guests can relax, enjoy cocktails, and celebrate late into the evening. If your children are included in any part of the festivities, you’ll see that clearly noted on your invitation. We truly appreciate your understanding as we create a joyful and relaxed weekend for everyone. Please note that the rehearsal dinner will take place at License No. 1, a cozy, historic speakeasy inside Hotel Boulderado, which is strictly 21+ per venue policy.
