Their first semester at BYU-Idaho, RyAnna got roped into date night…without a date. She happened to have some phone numbers from their Family Home Evening group, and not knowing anyone yet, she decided to leave it up to fate. The coin landed on Ian. Their first date was simple with mozzarella sticks and card games. They each thought the other was nice– and kind of cute. They ended the night with a really awkward and unexpected hug (Ry was not prepared for) and didn’t think much else of it… until Ry’s roommates kept nudging her to text him. After enough peer pressure, they hung out again. Ry will admit she was terrible at flirting– and even worse at picking up on it. But eventually she got the hint, and gradually they started hanging out more. Several late-night walks, random Walmart runs, and many other adventures later, they made it official. After a fake engagement and Ry begging for months and months to get married, Ian finally decided September was a good time– okay, okay… maybe it was the other way around. But either way, they couldn’t be happier with how things turned out. Ian and RyAnna are so excited to celebrate their wedding with you all, and look forward to many more mozzarella sticks and adventures to come.
