Wedding Party

Meet our family and friends who are walking down the aisle with us.

Celia Wright

Maid of Honor

Celia is Lisa's #1 Fan. They met in student government at Ohio State, and Celia was soon proud to become Lisa's "Big Sis" in Theta. Celia has learned so much from Lisa, causing her to feel like the "Little" more often than not. She was Lisa's roommate when Ryan entered the picture, and she's hard-pressed to find a couple that feels more "right" for each other.

Peter Mougey

Best Man

Ryan and Peter met how you meet all friends after college, at a watch party of The Bachelor. They started having lunch in the loop to get out of the office with Paul and became quick friends. During the pandemic the three of them took an ill-advised late October camping trip to Indiana. They all bonded while laying in their hammocks by day and shivering in their sleeping bags by night.

Rebecca Cepeda

Bridesmaid

Lisa and Rebecca met at their doctoral program at Ohio State. They quickly connected and became ate (sister) scholars for life.

Paul Kluitenberg

Best Man

Ryan and Paul met the summer before their senior year of college, when a fateful last minute change left them as roommates during their summer internship in Chicago. They became lunch buddies and spent their time bonding over goofy work situations, the cafeteria's taco bowls, and Ryan's yogurt choices. A close friendship blossomed and the rest is history!

Haley Waller

Bridesmaid

Haley and Lisa met during their freshman year of college after both joining Kappa Alpha Theta and were instant besties! They continued to stay close through college and after. They lived together in the Theta house the semester Lisa and Ryan started dating!

Trey Combs

Groomsman

Trey and Ryan met because Trey is Lisa's brother. They have shared many holiday meals together and have bonded over a shared love of OSU football! Trey is excited to have Ryan as his new brother-in-law!

Maria Falorio

Bridesmaid

Lisa and Maria met through a mutual friend in 2008 which quickly led to a strong and lasting friendship when Maria transfers to CHS freshman year of high school. They grew up together and have experienced many phases of life together, cheering each other on near and far.

Cam Conrad

Groomsman

Ryan and Cam met through Students For Education Reform (SFER) at OSU. Upon hearing of Ryan's interest in SFER, Cam invited Ryan for lunch at the finest of campus dining establishments: Marketplace on Neil. The two discovered that a passion for social justice was one of many shared interests and became close friends through SFER. They have stayed in touch over the years and enjoyed dodging thunderstorms and alligators while kayaking through the Everglades in 2019.

Katie Kane

Bridesmaid

Katie and Lisa have known each other since kindergarten when they were in the same grade and some of the same classes, but became best friends in middle school when they traveled together to a Power of the Pen competition at the college of Wooster. They have stayed close ever since despite living many miles away for most of their friendships since high school!

Josh Fox

Groomsman

Ryan and Josh have been friends since high school. They plan to be part owners of a tropical island with their high school friend group one day. An all night Black Friday adventure to purchase TVs for college cemented their friendship. They have since stayed connected through their love for video games, music, and adventures together.

Claire Leitzen

Bridesmaid

Lisa and Claire met in graduate school at Miami University and were a package deal from day 1 - grad school soulmates, if you will.  They have remained closely connected despite living in different states since then.

Brady Frakowski

Groomsman

I met Ryan freshman year when he was my neighbor in good ol' Morrison dorm. He immediately became obsessed with the Ohio valley culture which bloomed into our friendship. We began lifting and hanging out on the weekends and eventually moved in together our sophomore year. The rest is history!

Megan Peiffer

Bridesmaid

Megan and Lisa met through Ryan, Megan’s brother! They not only have grown close as soon-to-be sisters in law, but also as a close confidants and true friends.

Abdurrafey Khan

Groomsman

Ryan and Abdur went to high school together and then didn’t speak after graduation until they learned they were both moving to Chicago after college. Living in the same city again, they caught up over hot chicken lunch dates, bachelor watch party nights, and Halloween raves. Abdur wouldn’t have enjoyed Chicago nearly as much without Ryan and Lisa :)

Logan Phares

Bridesmaid

Logan and Lisa met in college at Ohio State through various student groups organizations. We bonded over our shared love of Taylor Swift :)

Eric Mills

Groomsman

Fife and I first met in 5th or 6th grade. We had a mutual friend who’s mother thought he was lonely(he probably just didn’t really like us). She called us each and invited us over to jump on their trampoline and hangout with her son. Several years later, in a freshman English class, we recognized each other as that weird kid from the one time a mom invited us over to hangout with her kid. We bonded and spent high school attached at the hip. Despite living hours away from each other ever since high school graduation(other than my short, failed stint in Chicago) it still feels like we’re the same kids jumping on that trampoline any time we get together.

Nikki Seletz

Bridesmaid

Nikki and Lisa met through a leadership program their freshman year at Ohio State and clicked instantly! Throughout college they had many mutual friends, joined various organizations together and were often found on 7am breakfast dates discussing their emotions :)

John Siracusa

Groomsman

Ryan and Johnny met while moving into the dorms freshman year and bonded over their love of ping-pong and the musical stylings from Pitch Perfect. Their friendship blossomed as they chose to face the joys and adversities of off-campus housing together. Over the years they shared countless college experiences from playing spikeball on The Oval to working and attending events at The Ohio Union and of course indulging in late-night food runs. These days their friendship carries on and prospers through a mutual enjoyment of exchanging dad jokes, exploring local breweries, and playing board games.
