It wouldn't be our wedding without a little Aventura! That being said, for a small town, San Miguel is surprisingly easy to get to. San Miguel is served by two airports, both located about 1 hour and 10 minutes to one hour and 45 minutes from town depending on traffic. Guanajuato del Bajio International Airport (BJX) Queretaro International Airport (QRO)

July is warm, with daytime highs around 80* and frequent afternoon showers. Mornings are often sunny, with cooler nights in the low 60s. Both of our events are outdoors so layers are encouraged.
San Miguel de Allende is wonderfully walkable! Our wedding events are central - just a short stroll from the recommended hotels. That said, the cobblestone streets can be uneven, so comfortable shoes are your best friend (you can always pack those dancing shoes for later!). If you’re staying farther out or prefer not to walk, Ubers are readily available, affordable, and easy to use throughout town. We recommend planning ahead.

As in most cities in Mexico, it’s best to avoid drinking tap water. That said, San Miguel de Allende is very accustomed to tourism, and reputable restaurants use purified or filtered water. Filtered water is also typically available in hotels and restaurants, so staying safely hydrated is easy.
