Kelly's Story: Ryan and I were in graphic design class together, but we didn't really know each other existed. It wasn't until Halloween when I came in dressed as Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas and I look over and Ryan is of course dressed as Jack Skellington. Perfect match right? Well come to find out he had a girlfriend at the time, so naturally I waited and waited, wondering if the day would come if they would ever break up! I know, I'm awful. But I couldn't shake that feeling of knowing we were meant to be. Finally, the day came and I heard they had broken up, so it was time to move in. With some help from good ol' friends Shawn Mahoney, Jake Woodward, Meg Woods, and a few others, we made our way to becoming friends and finding out we both liked one another. Ryan asked me to be his girlfriend on June 9th, 2007 and we never looked back. I went off to art school with Ryan following me just a year later. We have more memories together than apart. Eleven years ago I met my best friend and soul mate, I'm so glad I didn't shake that feeling. Ryan's Story: I was getting out of a pretty rough relationship back in June 2007, and heard through the grapevine (thanks, Shawn Mahoney!) that a certain cute redhead might have a crush on me. I remembered her from Halloween that year, as we were both in graphic design class and had worn matching Nightmare Before Christmas costumes (Jack and Sally, of course). It just so happened that at this exact time, the graphic design class was to group up for a final project! I built up all the courage I could muster to ask her to be my project buddy, but of course, she already had a friend in mind. With my luck, persistence, and devilish good looks (go on, check the photos...yikes) she decided I was the better pick. From that day forward, through thick and thin, she's agreed to be my partner.
