We met in 2016 during our first semester of college at Texas A&M when we both joined the Waterski Team. Over the next year and a half we became close friends and started to spend more and more time together and officially started dating in June 2018. Whether it was hanging at the ski house or spending allllll day at Lord’s Lake, you could pretty much always find us together. Shortly after Grace graduated college at the end of 2020, she received a random, but exciting call from Ryan asking "Wanna go on a trip of a lifetime with me ... to Alaska? I have to travel there for one month, and I'd love for you to come with me." Next thing ya know, we are hopping on a plane two days after Christmas headed for Alaska, having absolutely ZERO clue what we were getting ourselves into. (...& here we are, over two years later writing this, and still haven't come home from this said "vacation.") Four weeks quickly turned into four months ... which quickly turned into us realizing that we were not ready to give up the Alaska life right before summertime. Experiencing our first summer here made us truly & completely fall in love with this place … & each other :) We always say, "There's us before Alaska, and there's us after Alaska," because WOW, this place has changed us in so many ways. We have grown closer tenfold since arriving December 27th, 2020 and we would not change a single thing. We have been blessed with SO many incredible experiences including camping in the mountains, snowshoeing to glaciers, summiting mountains, a wild ATV drive to a glacier (sorry mama Covey), white water rafting, sea-life cruises, dog-sledding, ALL types of skiing (yes, including waterskiing), and sooo much more. Although we are intimately saying our vows in Alaska, we cannot wait to celebrate with you all in the Lower 48 afterward. We are so excited to begin our new life with all of our favorite people cheering us on! -Ryan & Grace
