Maid of Honor
Maggie and I spent all 7 years together at Maryvale and haven't skipped a beat since graduation. She was always willing to lend her warm (and sweaty) hands to warm mine up during middle school soccer or host the parties before Homecoming every year - we have so many pictures in her living room from all those school dances. Even as 20 somethings we were still going to her house to get ready before our night plans - some things never change!
Best Man
The middle brother who never let me win anything, but also the brother I shoved through a wall on Thanksgiving. Taylor is the brother who would also have his now wife drop off bottles of booze for Carly and I to split on weekends at Florida.
Maid of Honor
Leslie is another Maryvale "lifer" and is probably one of my first friends in 6th grade. Les remembers every inside joke that we basically ever had during those 7 years, it's truly impressive. From 6th grade homeroom to senior free period, we've shared so many laughs and memories up to today that there is never enough room to write about them. But I'll never forget Les's 16th birthday party when her dad hunted me down during laser tag and shot me countless times from his hiding place while her mom laughed her head off.
Best Man
The oldest brother who also never let me win anything, but is also the brother who has never beaten me in ping-pong. The same brother that took Carly and I to a nice restaurant in DC and had us almost kicked out because the waiter didn't believe a bug had crawled across our white table cloth.
Bridesmaid
Sam is likely my oldest friend, dating back to our rec lacrosse days at St. James and Hereford. There are countless stories from our days playing club lacrosse, attending Maryvale, and our early 20s that I can't possibly write them all in this little blurb. She's seen all the stages of life, including the days I wouldn't wear my hair in a pony tail during lax and that awkward middle school stage - she's got the stories and pictures to prove it.
Groomsman
My freshman year roommate who was there the first time Carly and I hung out. Spaceman Mo has been a staple of the yearly snowboard trips that Carly and I take.
Bridesmaid
Madison is a fellow physician assistant and truly became my person (Grey's Anatomy reference) and best friend during PA school. It is safe to say I wouldn't have survived those two years at Elon without her. It still makes me laugh thinking about the two of us in anatomy lab and in the OR together during our general surgery rotation - what were they possibly thinking placing us together?!
Groomsman
My sophomore year roommate, who happened to crash Carly and I's first date and proceeded to finish the rest of Carly's dinner plate. Also known as Uncle Puk, AJ has never turned down a time to get some drinks and sushi with Carly and I.
Bridesmaid
Lauren and I met while coaching girls club lacrosse with C2 Select. We joke today that we can't believe we lived so many years without each other. We've spent tons of summer days sweating it out on the lacrosse field together and playing in a co-ed adult soccer league (that's a whole other story).
Groomsman
My junior year roommate who was always down for a double date and some good food. I met Kirb on my official visit and I think I heard him say two words that weekend. Look how far we've come.
