Without knowing, Ryan & Cristhy had been in each other's orbit, somehow connected by extended family, which became the constellation that allowed their paths to meet. Ryan went on a family vacation in the Philippines back in April of 2023. Exploring his newly acquired hobby of surfing, he was headed up north to the province of La Union in search of stellar waves. Having been introduced through social media previously and learning that Cristhy was from La Union and coincidentally happened to be there at the time, he reached out to her to meet up. A reluctant Cristhy agreed and decided to meet this "Amboy" and give it chance. Ryan & Cristhy's oceans collided on that beautiful sunny day in the Philippines on April 26, 2023. They spent the entire day enjoying each other's company. This day turned out to be a very memorable day for the both of them and set things in motion for something wonderful. Ryan eventually returned to the U.S., but leaving a piece of his heart back in La Union. They would keep in touch through text messages until Ryan mustered up the courage to ask Cristhy to be his girlfriend. In October of that same year, Ryan would go back to the Philippines to spend more time with Cristhy and meet her family. After the Ryan's 2nd visit, Cristhy was bound for Germany to continue her professional career as a Nurse. Having a large spark between them, Ryan made a promise that he would do everything he could to bring them closer together. In February 2024, Ryan flew to Cologne, Germany and fulfilled his promise by asking for her hand in marriage. An unknowing but overjoyed Cristhy unreluctantly said, “YES!”. In fall of 2024, Cristhy happily flew to the U.S. to be with Ryan and they would continue to build their relationship. On October 10th, 2025, they would love to have YOU witness and celebrate their love and union by attending their wedding ceremony in Pleasanton, CA.
