How do I get to Lake Como?

There are a few ways to reach Lake Como: 1. From Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP): - By Car: Rent a car at the airport for a 1-1.5 hour scenic drive to Lake Como. Follow signs for the A9 highway towards Como. - By Train: Take the Malpensa Express train to **Milano Centrale** (about 50 minutes), then transfer to a regional train heading to **Como San Giovanni** or **Varenna** (around 40 minutes). - By Private Transfer: Many services offer direct transfers from the airport to your hotel in Lake Como. We recommend booking in advance. 2. From Milan Linate Airport (LIN): - By Car: It's about a 1-1.5 hour drive via the A9 highway to Lake Como. - By Train: Take a taxi or bus to **Milano Centrale**, then transfer to a train to **Como San Giovanni** or **Varenna** (40-minute train ride). 3. From Milan Bergamo Airport (BGY): - By Car: The drive is about 1.5-2 hours. Follow signs for the A4 highway, then connect to the A9 towards Como. - By Train: Take a bus or taxi to **Bergamo** train station, then transfer at **Monza** or **Milano Centrale** for a train to **Como San Giovanni** or **Varenna**.

When will the weekend events begin?

What is the dress code for the ceremony & reception?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony and reception are formal black-tie events. We kindly request that all guests join us in wearing ALL black attire to complement the elegant atmosphere of the occasion. For Men: -A black tuxedo or a formal black suit with a white dress shirt. -A black bow tie or necktie, black dress shoes, and black dress socks. Optional: A black waistcoat or cummerbund. For Women: -A floor-length black gown or an elegant black cocktail dress. -Dress shoes and accessories that complement your attire. We appreciate your effort in adhering to this dress code, as your presence in this coordinated attire will help create a beautifully unified and memorable celebration.

Can I rent a car?

Answer

Yes! You are welcome to rent a car, however please review the international laws for driving in Italy. Requirements include applying for an international drivers license in the United States prior to visiting Europe. Popular rental car companies located in Milan include Sixt, Hertz, Enterprise, and Europcar.

Can I take a private car from Milan to Lake Como?

Absolutely! Guests are welcome to schedule private transfers from Milan to Bellagio. Safe and reliable private transfers include Transfeero, Viator, Lake Como Transfers, and ComoLake Chauffeur.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate guests listed on your invitation. If your invitation includes a plus one, their name will be indicated. We appreciate your understanding as we work to create an intimate and special day with our closest family and friends.

The BIG day will hold both indoor and outdoor events. We will specify the location of each event when the schedule has been finalized.

What is the weather like in Lake Como?

In September, Lake Como typically enjoys mild and pleasant weather, making it a beautiful time for a wedding. Here’s what you can expect: Temperature: Daytime highs range from 21°C to 25°C (70°F to 77°F), while evening lows can dip to around 13°C to 17°C (55°F to 63°F). Weather: The weather is generally sunny or partly cloudy, though there’s a slight chance of occasional rain, so a light jacket or umbrella might be handy. Humidity: Moderate, but comfortable.

During September 2025, Lake Como will be in Central European Summer Time as they observe Daylight Savings. At the time of our celebration Italy will be 6 hours ahead of New York, and 9 hours ahead of California.

Your presence is a present and we want you to be present with us! We kindly ask that you refrain from taking photos during the ceremony. Don’t worry—our professional photographers and videographers will capture all the memories, and we look forward to sharing those moments with you! Thank you for your understanding.

We are so grateful for your love and presence at our wedding, and your company is the greatest gift we could ask for. If you do wish to contribute, we will have a honeymoon fund set up for those who feel inclined. Your support and well-wishes mean the world to us!
