There are two main modes of transportation to get out to Montau aside from renting a car. There is the Jitney and the Long Island Rail Road. Information for their schedules can be found under the hotel and travel page on our website.
Yes! We reserved several rooms at the Montauk Manor. Please contact Donna for information regarding the room rates. Additional information can be found under our travel and hotel page. Of course, you can find additional accommodations via Airbnb or other hotels (“motels”) in Montauk, Amagansett or East Hampton.
First and foremost, we want you to be comfortable! The wedding will be on a grassy area, so please wear shoes that will not sink into the ground (avoid stilettos). The official attire for the ceremony and reception is cocktail. We do recommend bringing a shawl or a sweater, in the event it gets windy during the evening.
Since the bonfire will be on the beach, it may get a little windy, so please bring a sweater. Other than that, feel free to wear whatever evening beachy clothing you’d like. There will be pizza and beer!
We’ve included several things to do in Montauk before the ceremony or during the weekend if you extend your trip. You can’t go wrong with a trip to the beach (the closest one is Ditch Plains) - a heads up that you will need to take a Uber or a taxi to the beach since a parking permit is required. If going to the beaches and your thing, there is a ton of hiking including the Seal Haul Hike, Hero State Park and Hither Hills State Park. If you were looking for other places to eat around the area, you can’t go wrong with the historic LUNCH spot or The Clam Bar. We also highly recommend checking out the town of Montauk and Amagansett, which are close by and have lots of cute shops.
