We're getting married!

We met through mutual friends out at dinner at Papa P's in 2016. As cheesy and unrealistic as it sounds, the second I walked in and saw him I knew in my heart I was going to marry him one day. We spent the rest of the night talking at a friends birthday celebration. We were friends for almost a year and a half before ever actually dating even though we both knew we had a thing for each other. In 2017 we went on a weekend trip to California to meet up with a couple friends, he asked me to be his girlfriend at dinner the first night we were there and the rest was history!

It was a total surprise! We were going up to our friends cabin for the weekend in North Ga to hang out and go kayaking which wasn't out of the ordinary. There are some funny stories that happened throughout the day that I realized after he proposed were because he was so focused on the plan for the day! While driving up one of the kayaks came loose and we both jumped out to go fix the strap, however he didn't realize I had also gotten out and he had his foot on the gas while I still had one foot out the door! When we got there we all loaded up to go kayaking. We had to take two cars and park one at the start point and one at the end point where we would get off the river. When we finished we all went to get in the second car and he had locked his keys in the car at the top of the river where we set in! One of our friends had to catch a ride with a super nice woman we didn't know to go get the other car. Once we got back to the cabin we got ready to go to a winery, we ended up at Odom Springs Vineyards where he took me out to a gazebo and asked me to marry him, I was in shock and immediately said yes!
