How bad is traffic?

Depends on the time of day and what’s going on... there are multiple ways of getting to places. Texas has service roads which generally run alongside the highway... if there’s a wreck on the highway, you can get on the service road to go around the wreck or I’ve to a different route. GPS is your friend :)
