Tess and Ryan's story starts their freshman year at the University of Delaware. After briefly meeting at New Student Orientation over the summer, Tess and Ryan officially met when Ryan knocked on Tess' door on move in day. #D3D4Forever

Tess and Ryan were immediately friends and continued this friendship throughout college (also dating on and off along the way!) Tess was almost always Ryan's date to fraternity events and they spent most of their time together - studying, going to the dining hall, trips to Goodwill (I think all his friends are thankful Ryan's outgrown his Goodwill obsession), parties, and countless hours at Grottos. Always being in the same friend group kept them friends even through the times when they weren't dating. After dating all of senior year Tess and Ryan agreed to go their separate ways after graduation since they were starting jobs in different cities. But they were always drawn back to each other - after Tess returned from her backpacking trip, Ryan definitely knew Tess was the one, he asked her to be his girlfriend again fall of 2018 and there was never any going back after that!

Tess and Ryan were spending the night in the Manhattan Club in NYC and Ryan convinced Tess they needed to go out and celebrate since it was one of their last weekends living in the city. Tess sabotaged Ryan's plan of a fancy dinner because she spotted a "fun" Mexican restaurant. Ryan of course thought Tess knew exactly what he was planning (she had no idea) so he went a long with it as to not raise any suspicions. After dinner they walked through Times Square where Ryan scoped out the scene. They then grabbed cocktails at a cute french restaurant to make up for the terrible margs at dinner. It was starting to rain but Ryan convinced Tess to take the long way back through Times Square and the rain let up. After doing some people watching on the stadium steps, Ryan asked a woman to take a picture of them and while Tess was busy posing Ryan dropped down on one knee. Tess was so surprised and obviously said yes!!! Times Square was practically empty (because of Covid) and everyone around clapped and cheered!

Engagement life has treated Tess and Ryan very well! The highlights so far include working remotely from the Bahamas and Portugal and buying a beach house.
