Things To Do
Yakima is an agriculturally-rich community, so you're guaranteed of three things: good food, good wine, and good beer! It is also very close to the Cascades and Mount Rainier if you want to go adventuring.
Some of our favorite restaurants in town are Crafted, Tokki-Ya, WaterFire, HopTown Pizza, Bubbles and Co., the White House, and The Kiln. There's also some excellent Mexican food, including Taqueria Rolly's and James Beard award-winning Los Hernandez Tamales.
For coffee, we recommend Coffee + Plants (Yakima Coffee Company), or Essencia Artisan Bakery.
For wineries, our favorites (besides Gilbert Cellars of course!) are Wilridge Winery, AntoLin Cellars, and Owen Roe.
If you're looking for a brewski (you're in the hop capital of the world after all, so when in Rome!), hit up Single Hill Brewing, Bale Breaker, or The Tap.
Fun things to do nearby include hiking the Cowiche Canyon winery trail to Wilridge, the Tieton Nature Trail, and floating the Yakima Canyon.
