We met on a popular dating app all the way back in 2016! Ryan had just moved back to Philly after working in Pittsburgh after graduating college from Pitt. Steph had just started her second year of graduate school. After texting each other for two weeks, Ryan took Steph on their first date to a spooky hayride at Bates Motel on October 7th, 2016. From there, Ryan planned frequent dates while living just a mile away from each other, Ryan in Roxborough and Steph in Manayunk. In June 2017, we took our first trip together, to Niagra Falls! That's when we learned what great travel partners we are. In August 2019, we moved in with each other to Conshohocken. A few months later we were locked down with the rest of the world. On September 28th, 2020, we adopted Scrat, our twelve pound Chihuahua mix. He stole our hearts within seconds of meeting him. Since then, he has become like our son and we even bought him a house with a yard in October 2021. Ryan proposed in our dining room on February 19th, 2023. While Steph was visiting friends over the weekend, he had an electrician hang up a tiffany style light fixture in our dining room. This light fixture belonged to Steph's late grandfather from his franchise of restaurants back in the day, H.A. Winstons. Steph grew up with it hanging in the kitchen of her childhood home. When Steph arrived home from her weekend, Ryan surprised her by turning on the light and then getting down on one knee. It was an unforgettable night! Some of our favorite things to do together are going to concerts, traveling to new places, snuggling on the couch with Scrat while watching King of Queens, hosting friends and family in our backyard, date nights at Dave & Buster's, attending Sixers games, and trying new restaurants. We are so excited to celebrate our wedding day with you!
