Things To Do

Rittenhouse Square

Philadelphia, PA

We both love walking around Rittenhouse square. Whether that be to get coffee in the surrounding neighborhoods, walk the market on Saturday mornings, or simply go for a drink and some food at all the amazing restaurants in the area.

K'Far Cafe Philadelphia

110 South 19th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103

This might be the place Shannan and I love the most for brunch and coffee. Get their Jerusalem Bagel sandwiches (the veggie one, trust us).

Double Knot

120 South 13th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107

This is our Favorite restaurant in the city. Their tasting menu is amazing and worth it. Just sit down and tell the waiter you want The Tasting Menu, however the chef chooses (can specify no tofu etc..). Be warned, this is one of the most popular restaurants in the city and you need a reservation to get in (about 3 weeks out to be safe, if not longer).

Suraya Restaurant

1528 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19125

Now this is a place we have been FREQUENTLY. If you love Pita and Hummus come here as this is the right behind Double Knot for the best restaurant on our list.

Skyhigh Philadelphia

1 North 19th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103

If you want the best views of the city this is your place. Go into the Four Seasons and make your way to the elevators or ask the receptionist for the sky bar. Take the glass elevator 60 floors up to the tallest building in the city and enjoy a drink while enjoying the view

Art Museum

2600 Benjamin Franklin Parkway, Philadelphia, PA 19130

Believe it or not we enjoy going to the Museums in the city for a different day activity. While there are multiple museums it would be hard not to recommend the art museum. If you want to run the steps like Rocky or go inside and explore, it has a lot to offer.

North Third

801 North 3rd Street, Philadelphia, PA 19123

This is more of Ryan's favorite... This fun corner Philly bar has everything and more important very good food and the BEST WINGS IN THE CITY. This was the first bar Ryan went to when he moved to the city and never lived more than 3 blocks from it his 4.5 years while living in Philly.

Superfolie

1602 Spruce Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103

This small cocktail and wine bar is a must if you can get a seat. One could say we have enjoyed many nights here but Shannan has definitely spent more time here with friends than with Ryan. It is very hard not to have an enjoyable time at this tiny bar.

Di Bruno Bros.

1730 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103

Looking for a classic Italian Market that makes you want to buy the whole store? Come here! It was definitely our guilty pleasure when buying anything from desserts to cheeses and sandwiches. Enjoy the café upstairs or just walk around the store for a true south Philly feel. Fun fact: While casually splitting some charcuterie and an affogato at the cafe, Ryan spotted his celebrity boyfriend, Zach Bryan!
