we're getting married!

The story of Sara and I meeting is a testament to God's perfect timing and attention to every detail of our lives. You all know that we are both dancers. Dancers to our core. It is something we will share with each other for the remainder of our lives and the very thing that God put in our lives to bring us into each other's orbit. Sara grew up dancing at CF Dance Academy from the age of 13. Training and competing at the studio for 10 years. CF became a 2nd home for her as she spent hours and hours within the walls of the Williams building with her CF family. It was 2017 following a serious injury when Sara finally parted ways with the studio and pursued her degree. My dance journey started back in 2005 in Encinitas, CA. It has taken me on many teams and many stages in many cities. But the important one for this story is that in 2015 I got hired as a performer at Disneyland and moved my life to Orange County. It was at Disneyland I met one of my best men, Christopher Jensen (CJ). CJ, when leaving to go on tour, asked if I would be interested in stepping into his role at CF Dance Academy while he was gone and introduced me to the owner in 2018. Our paths had almost crossed, but we weren't yet ready. From 2018-2022 God kept us so close, but out of sight of one another. Preventing our meeting until He willed it. The Lord brought both of us back to our faith, back to church, and gave us trustworthy community to surround ourselves with. The growth and work that we went through with the Holy Spirit individually during this time is something not only necessary for our compatibility and relationship, but a majority of the reason we are the people we are today. In January 2022, through numerous events and circumstances, I came to become the future Co-Owner of CF Dance Academy. As the studio prepared to close the doors on its amazing chapters under Jennifer and Leanna, a farewell show and ceremony was organized with many current and former students invited to come, watch, and say their farewells to the CF they had called home. It was on Sunday, January 30th 2023 when Sara, who had been driven by the Holy Spirit to withdraw from a trip she had been planning, attended the farewell night and met me for the first time. I remember after the show, walking down into the back parking lot which had been turned into outdoor seating by The Bowery Pizza and seeing Sara sitting at a wooden table with my friends and co-workers of the last few years. Laughing and talking like she was part of the group. I thought to myself "there's no way this beautiful woman could have been involved in the studio and I have not met or seen in 4 years!"... "WHO IS SHE?!" This night I met her, talked to her, and developed a desire to know everything about her that I know now will be an adventure I pursue for the rest of my life. The events leading up to our meeting were put in order by God and only he could mold us into the people that both of us need at the time and continue to need now.
