Sarah had been working at Marine Science High School for 4 years when Ryan joined the faculty in September 2021. Pretty quickly Sarah realized Ryan was “funny, like really funny”. And the rest was history. After months of non-stop texting and talking, their first date was March 11, 2022. Their chaperone, Ellie Mae, kept a close eye on their walk all over Mystic. After that the two of them (well three, if you count Ellie Mae) were inseparable!

After dinner at their favorite restaurant, The Engine Room, Ryan and Sarah picked up Ellie Mae to take her on a walk to get ice cream Downtown. It seemed like a pretty normal summer night! But before they could reach the ice cream shop Ellie Mae sat down by the river and Ryan got on one knee to propose.
