The story of how we met begins with our parents.. Sammy's father Ken and Ryan's parents Dave and Ellen all attended Burke High School around the same time. Then many years down the road Traci, Sammy's mother and Dave, Ryan's father went to nursing school together. But it wasn't until high school when we finally met and hangout as friends. And this part was all thanks to Allison, Ryan's sister for graduating high school and leaving Ryan needing a ride home from school. We became good friends over the next few months and continued to be friends for many years until 2017 when we finally started dating.

One night at dinner Ellen told me that she would like to have my family over for a St. Patty's day party at their house. This wasn't an odd request due to our families joining Thanksgiving dinners together for the past few years. So, Ellen and I went on planning the party which consisted of dinner and a St. Patty's day themed alcohol "egg" hunt in the back yard! Skip to the day of... Ryan went and picked up the t-shirts his older sister had made for the event but he would not let me have mine to put on before we got there. I was confused but went along with it... little did I know he thought that it may give away our engagement. After checking them over at his parents he noticed they were fine so we put the shirts on and started celebrating as my family showed up. Before dinner we decided to have the alcohol "egg" hunt in the backyard despite the snow that had appeared the night before. At the end of the hunt Ryan came up to me and said that there was one last "egg" that I had not found... being me I was confused and started looking around again thinking I must have missed a really good one.
