How did we meet?
Answer
We found each other on Hinge, a dating app, of all places! And we solidified our first date after Ryan messaged Sam a closing argument he prepared contesting one of Sam's bold claims about the movie, Top Gun Maverick. Sam was impressed by his confident attempt at lawyering. She responded in kind with a Rebuttal, and it was determined she most likely won her case :) We quickly became intrigued with one another on our first date at Porter Creek Steak House. Sam was attracted to Ryan's intelligence, depth of character, self-deprecating humor, and Ceasar Milan impressions. Ryan was attracted to Sam's feisty spirit, justice-seeking heart, and her beloved pup, Rita ;) They fell in love with each other's unique personalities and perspectives and have continued learning from each other every day. Fast forward almost a year and a half and Ryan decided to make their dating relationship official by having Sam served legal paperwork "suing" her for the theft of his heart, among other legal claims. His prayer for relief included marriage vows and tackling all that life has to throw at us for the rest of our days! What a romantic and sneaky way to claim Sam's heart.

Why are we thankful?
Answer
Speaking with a friend from church who recently had his wife of nearly fifty years pass away, we asked him what their secret was. His answer was one word: grateful. And boy do we feel it. We are of course grateful for each other, but we're also thankful for our loving families and strong friendships that have cast us into the people we are today. Encouraged by God's promises of love and faithfulness, we humbly find refuge in His protection. We feel so blessed by all our life experiences and can't wait to take on each new adventure together. So please come celebrate with us!!!
