Matron of Honor
Sam's sister from the same Mrs. and Mr. Sydney Nelson is not only my actual sister, she is my best friend. I cannot imagine anyone else standing right beside me on this big day than the girl who has mentored me, laughed with me, cried with me, and sometimes even yelled at me (though the gesture was always quickly returned). In all seriousness, I am honored to have Sydney as my sister and now as my Matron of Honor.

Aside from sharing the same name, Sammy and I have shared probably too many crazy memories together. We met in 4th grade after her dad (my soccer coach at the time) repeatedly me "you HAVE to meet my daughter. You guys are going to be best friends." Well, her dad was right because it took one day of meeting for our best-friendship to start. That was 18 years ago and I STILL haven't been able to shake her (just kidding). Sammy is always the life of the party, capable of making anyone laugh and probably do something he/she would regret. Watch out for this best friend of mine ;)

My actual partner in crime. Being the youngest siblings/cousins, we have always been attached at the hip whenever in the same state. Somehow living across the country never got in the way of our friendship. Did I mention we are also sisters? Okay, we're actually cousins but we might as well be sisters. Lauren always has been and always will be the one with whom I can count on to join me in weirdness and trouble. Just watch out whenever we are together... something will probably break, there will probably be singing, and someone might wet their pants from laughing.

My idol... Not only is Emily INSANELY talented with art, style, beauty, etc... she is also the most loyal friend you could ever ask for. This girl has inspired me in countless ways to love better and live better. Not only that, but she is also that friend who will allow you to be as weird as your heart desires because she is as weird as her heart desires. Emily is so unapologetically herself you can't help but love every part of her!

My eldest sister but you would never know. This cousin/sister of mine has the heart of the most fun-loving child... so prone to laughter you'd think it was her first language. Being the oldest of the sisters/cousins I have always looked up to her. And yes, enter any room and if Ashley is there then that room will undoubtedly be having the most fun. I will forever admire her ability to turn any dull situation into one of pure joy and light.

By the end of our freshmen year at Pepperdine people often asked us "how long have you guys known each other?" To this we promptly and honestly responded "3 weeks." Yep, it took all of our freshmen year to meet, and all but 3 weeks instantly become best buddies. Mady is my "yes girl." She is always down for anything regardless of how crazy. Whether it meant skiing/snowboarding in shorts and tank tops or attempting headstands on a surfboard, Mady was always with me. Her faith is immeasurable and her wisdom unfathomable. Take a minute to talk with this girl and she is sure to blow your mind with her insane down-to-earthness while also leaving you with the thought that she is truly one of a kind. Once a Wave Brother always a Wave Brother

My mom :) Ever since middle school band (blech) Jenna has always been the patient advisor listening to all of my craziness. Whether it be answering my random phone calls as I endured mental breakdowns over the fact that sharks exist or going out of her way to just sit with me and watch movies when I needed a friend. Jenna is also outrageously wise, hardworking and loyal beyond belief. Did I mention it is also highly probable this girl will win the Nobel Prize for a medical discovery or something? Yeah, that's my mom :)

My roomie! It took only a few days of knowing each other for me to realize this girl was going to be my next roommate. It isn't easy sharing a tiny studio apartment with someone, but living with Joelle for our senior year of college was an absolute dream. While in public, people often put their best face forward. And yes, around others Joelle was always sweet, polite and extremely easy going. But once in the confines of our tiny home, away from all the people, she was someone completely different. She was singing like nobody's business, cooking up storms, teaching me the ins-and-outs of being a Harry Potter nerd and exemplifying what it means to be the most caring and considerate person you could ever be so lucky to live with. BTW, she's also a Crossfit BEAST! Forever my roomie :)
