Emerald Bay
We all know this beautiful place! One of iconic places at Lake Tahoe, highly recommend if you haven't been here before. This was the first place Ryan took me the first time I came to Tahoe. We stopped here on our way to Tahoe City to go to Sunnyside, which would end up being the place where he proposed to me. Emerald Bay has some very pretty hiking trails that are about 3 miles out and back.
Round Hill Pines Beach Resort
This is one of our favorite beaches to hang out at! They have jet skis, kayaks, paddleboards all for rent. There is a really cool beach bar and restaurant, and the most delicious frozen drinks- Pain Killers! We highly recommend this place if you're looking for a great day to hang out at the beach. Just a heads up there is a $12 parking fee
Camp Richardson Campground
Camp Richardson area has a lot to offer, it's one of our favorite places to go walking on the trail and stop at the ice cream parlor. Pope Beach and Kieva Beach or "Dog Beach" are beautiful and they all run into each other. The trail starts at Pope beach, runs through Camp Richardson where there is a restaurant called "The Grove", formally The Beacon Restaurant. There are bikes to rent, gift shops, and the famous ice cream shoppe. Following along the trail is Valhalla where you can see where the first settlers to Tahoe used to live. Then following along that trail on to Kieva Beach where all the dogs come to play and then finishing at Taylor Creek and Mt. Tallac viewing trail where you can see where the beavers have taken over and beautiful Mt. Tallac.
