Any time anyone visits us in Dallas, Katy Trail Ice House is a MUST. The Ice House is an Austin style beer garden and restaurant, located in the heart of uptown Dallas on the Katy Trail. We recommend taking a walk on the Katy Trail and grabbing our favorite drink, the "Summer Beer", and brisket tacos afterward.
Lower Greenville is one of our favorite sports to go out at. For food we enjoy going to Sundown Grenada, Cafe Izmir, Terrelli's, Goodwins, Son of a Butcher, and Fortune House. For drinks we like going to HG Supply Co., Truckyard, Christy's, and Sisters. For those that love a good espresso martini, Terrelli's and Goodwins is great!
The lively Deep Ellum entertainment district is known for its vibrant street murals, quirky art galleries and long-time concert venues for indie and blues. Some spots we enjoy are Dots Hop House & Cocktail Courtyard, great pizza (and dessert pizza) at Cane Rosso, yummy BBQ at Pecan Lodge, Pepe's & Mito's Tex-Mex, Deep Ellum Brewing Company, and Louie Louie's Dueling Piano Bar!
The hip Bishop Arts District is known for its diverse nightlife, chic independent fashion stores and colorful street art. They have everywhere from Texas-style BBQ to Vietnamese pho. One of our favorite bars to go to is Revelers Hall which is known for it's live music.
AT&T Stadium, or as we call it "Jerry World", is home of the Dallas Cowboys football and hosts big events such as big-named artists, Monster Trucks, and more. We've been to the Cowboys games and recently saw Luke Combs perform there. The Stadium tour is a great experience and there's lots to explore!
Grab your cowboy hat and boots and head to the Fort Worth Stockyards! This is where we met for the first time and where we took most of our engagement photos. The Stockyards will immerse you in the Western heritage! Two step at Billy Bobs, see the world's only twice-daily cattle drive, check out the gorgeous Hotel Drover, watch the rodeo at Cowtown Coliseum and enjoy live music, food and drinks all down the strip!
