Our story started in 2018 at a CrossFit gym. Olivia had been a member for a few months, coming in and out between college soccer preseason. She was always at the morning classes (she’s proudly a morning person). For the longest time, she never saw Coach Ryan around — probably because he is definitely not a morning person. Then one day, out of nowhere, this cute coach started showing up to the early classes. Suspicious? Just a bit. What Olivia didn’t know was that Ryan had spotted her mid-workout and still thought she was adorable. He figured if she looked that good during a workout, it could only go uphill from there. Olivia noticed Ryan was wearing sweatpants that said "Wantagh," and naturally, she did what anyone would do: she Googled him. She came across an old article about someone named Ryan who had bowled his first (but not last) perfect score of a 300. Her first thought: No way that’s the same guy. But of course... it was. At the time, Olivia was deep in nursing school, and Ryan was coaching while finishing a degree in Biomedical Engineering. On February 13th, 2018, Ryan finally made a move and asked if she might want to grab dinner sometime — if she could find a break from studying. Four days later, on February 17th, they had their first date. The rest is history — and we can’t wait for everything that’s still to come.
