We're Getting Married!

Ryan and Michayla’s story began at the whimsical, Disney-inspired Cake Bake Shop in Broad Ripple, Indiana. Ryan had been working there for some time—easily recognized in his signature pink suit—when Michayla joined the team. He became her trainer, but it didn’t take long for their professional connection to grow into a real friendship. After many shifts together and post-work dinners with coworkers, Ryan asked Michayla out during a particularly chaotic cake rush. Their first date was a visit to the Indianapolis Zoo—unaware that this same spot would become even more meaningful three years later. In the years that followed, their relationship grew through life’s highs and lows—from navigating a pandemic and taking spontaneous trips, to adopting their dog, Maverick, and buying their first home. Through every season, they found joy and comfort in each other’s company. On their three-year anniversary, Ryan brought Michayla back to the zoo. In the peaceful Dolphin Dome, surrounded by swimming dolphins, he proposed. It was the perfect full-circle moment. Now, as they prepare to celebrate their wedding, Ryan and Michayla are excited to share this next chapter with all of you. And yes—there will definitely be cake.
