Driving to Show Low
If you are driving to Show Low from the north, we are directly south of Interstate Route I-40 on highway AZ-77 South. There are two routes to Show Low from Phoenix; both are incredibly picturesque, taking you through desert, cresting the Mogollon Rim and into mountains and pine trees. Option 1: Travel north on AZ-87 and turn right on to AZ-260 East when you reach Payson. (Restroom options in Payson) Option 2: Take AZ-60 East through the beautiful Salt River Canyon (Restroom options in Globe) *Always bring water when traveling through the desert. Restrooms and gas stations are few and far between*

If camping is your style, Fool Hollow Lake State Park has a really nice campground. Information about the campground and reservations can be found here: https://azstateparks.com/fool-hollow/camping-and-rvs/camping-at-fool-hollow-lake We HIGHLY recommend making a reservation as soon as you know you would like to camp. The campground is one of the nicest in the area and fills up very quickly in the summer. Plenty of other accommodations are available in the form of Hotels, Cabin Rentals and AirBnb rentals in both Show Low and Pinetop-Lakeside.
