Ryan and Lilly were in the same 1st grade class at Lincoln Elementary School in Gahanna, Ohio. They became friends throughout school and eventually “dated” in 6th grade for a few weeks. In 2016, Ryan and Lilly found each other again as juniors in high school.

Lilly’s love for dogs became the reason she was so surprised at her proposal. Kasie - taking home the titles of Big Sister and Maid of Honor - recently adopted her miniature Dachshund puppy, Dez. She schemed up a plan to throw a “Puppy Shower,” the perfect way to get friends and family alike together on a Dublin rooftop with little suspicion raised. When Lilly got to the rooftop and heard “Beyond” by Leon Bridges playing, she knew the so-called “Puppy Shower” was a sham, and Ryan got down on one knee!
