We're getting married!

Our story can be traced back to the fall of 2021, when a track and field Facebook meet and greet sparked something truly beautiful. One day, Kyra was sitting in class with a friend when she scrolled past a post about a new commit to the Concordia track team. As she looked closer, her wise friend remarked, "You are going to marry that man." Kyra shrugged it off, but a seed was planted that day. Meanwhile, Ryan was completely unaware of this revelation. As a student at Omaha Concordia, he had no idea that his future wife was attending the rival school of Auburn. As the seasons changed and time passed, their paths crossed and merged into one. From district meets to state basketball, their lives became intertwined. When they finally met in the fall of 2022, God was continuing to write the story of their love. Kyra was head over heels for the oblivious Ryan, and Ryan (being so wise) tried to set up the caring and kind Kyra with his roommate (and now Groomsman). However, as time went on, Ryan realized that Kyra had a heart not only for Christ but also for others, like he had never seen before. He started planning how to finally pursue Kyra himself rather than keep his head in the clouds. Soon, some shenanigans ensued, but by October 8, they were official. Aside from the first date jitters, a bit of road rage, and a traffic stop, the date went wonderfully. Over the years, our love has only grown stronger. Through life's hills and valleys, God has remained faithful to us and to our love for each other. May God bless our marriage on May 31, 2026, and may we continue to chase after each other every day—while also pursuing Christ even more.
